In this 3rd installation in a series about The Top 10 Cars in metropolitan areas by Internet searches, I take a look at Chicago. You will find many of the same cars as you have seen in Los Angeles and Houston. However, the order has changed slightly. If your car is in the top 10, chances are that you are making a wise car-buying decision. The top 10 searched for cars in Chicago are: 1. Chevrolet, 2. Ford, 3. Toyota, 4. BMW, 5. Nissan, 6. Mercedes Benz, 7. Dodge, 8. Honda, 9. Cadillac, and 10. Pontiac. 1. Chevrolet Chicago In first place is Chevrolet Chicago. It was searched for nearly 341,000 times. Neither Chevrolet Los Angeles nor Chevrolet Houston were searched as often. 2. Chicago Ford In the second spot is Ford Chicago with just about 247,000 searches. Again, more people searched for a Ford in Chicago than either in Los Angeles or Houston. 3. Toyota Chicago Number three is Toyota Chicago. Toyota Chicago did better than Toyota Houston but not as good as Toyota Los Angeles. There were about 163,000 searches performed for Toyota Chicago. 4. BMW Chicago This is where Houston and Chicago part ways. BMW Chicago was searched close to 155,000 times. This is more than BMW Houston but less than BMW Los Angeles. 5. Nissan Chicago Number five is Nissan Chicago. This is a strong showing. It beats both Nissan Los Angeles and Nissan Houston. Chicago Nissan was searched for just about 132,000 times. 6. Mercedes Benz Chicago Sixth is Mercedes Benz Chicago. This ties Mercedes Benz Los Angeles, although in raw numbers Los Angeles wins. On the other hand, Mercedes Benz Chicago beat Mercedes Benz Houston with approximately 120,000 searches. 7. Dodge Chicago Number seven is Dodge Chicago. In the neighborhood of 114,000 searches occurred for Dodge Chicago, putting it higher than both Dodge Houston and Dodge Los Angeles. 8. Honda Chicago Surprisingly appearing in eighth place is Honda Chicago. Surprising not because it made the list but because it is so far down the list. More searches were performed for both Honda Los Angeles and Honda Houston. Just about 102,000 people looked for Honda Chicago on the Internet. 9. Cadillac Chicago Number nine is Cadillac Chicago. Cadillac missed the Top 10 List in Los Angeles, but was number 10 in Houston. Cadillac Chicago received a little more than 100,000 searches. 10. Chicago Pontiac Pontiac Chicago is a newcomer to the Top 10 Car List. Nearly 90,000 searches occurred for Pontiac Chicago. Pontiac didn't show up on either the Los Angeles or Houston lists. So that's Chicago's Top 10 Car List. Did your car make the list? If it did, then chances are that you're searching for a good car. The majority tends to steer towards reliable cars.
