1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Phil Vault ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Phil Vault is an AI-powered stamp cataloguing, valuation, and trading platform. Users can upload photos of stamp collections for automated identification, valuation, and organisation.

3. User Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and all activity under it.

4. Subscription Plans and Free Tier

• New users receive a free tier allowing up to 15 stamps total OR 14 days from registration, whichever comes first.
• No credit card is required to use the free tier.
• When the free tier expires, your account remains active but no further stamp processing is available until you purchase a subscription.
• Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually through our payment processor, Lemon Squeezy.
• There is no separate trial period — the free tier serves as the trial experience.

5. Heritage Packages

Heritage packages are one-time payments for non-subscribers who wish to catalogue an inherited or existing collection. These are not subscriptions.

6. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

Stamp identifications, catalogue references, and valuations are generated by artificial intelligence and are estimates only. They do not constitute professional appraisal or financial advice. Phil Vault accepts no liability for decisions made based on AI-generated valuations.

7. Acceptable Use

You may not use Phil Vault to upload illegal content, attempt to reverse engineer the platform, or abuse the API or AI systems.

8. Intellectual Property

Phil Vault and its content are owned by Phil Vault. You retain ownership of photos you upload but grant Phil Vault a licence to process them for the purpose of providing the Service.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

10. Limitation of Liability

Phil Vault is provided "as is." We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
